The Information We Collect

This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on Maryland Westie Rescue’s website, www.marylandwestierescue.com. On some pages, you can fill out forms in order to apply to adopt a dog, request to be a volunteer (including a foster), surrender a dog, or contact us. The types of personal information collected at these pages are clearly outlined on the form you are filling out. Information we retain is as follows only if you conduct an adoption, conduct an intake, or become a volunteer with our organization: Name, Address, Email address, Phone number

The Way We Use Information

We use the information you provide about yourself on these forms to determine eligibility for the action requested (dog adoption, volunteering, fostering, etc) We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to conduct the adoption, conduct the intake, or to allow you to conduct your duties as a volunteer or foster home. We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties unless a line of communication is required to conduct the adoption, conduct the intake, or to allow you to conduct your duties as a volunteer or foster home. Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses. Anyone joining our group as an adoptive home, volunteer, or donor is automatically placed on our mailing list to receive our “Maryland Westie Watch” newsletter, an educational and informative review & update of our organization.
